Privacy draft
MotherSearch, LLC is a California company. The public email is hello@mothersearch.org. The site is mothersearch.org.
What this version collects
- A listing form: business name, your name, email, optional phone, optional website, category, city, state, optional ZIP, service area, descriptions, an optional private note, and the consent boxes you check.
- A contact form: name, email, optional subject, and message.
- An optional note if you ask to hear when Match opens: name, email, optional note, and consent.
- A sign-in cookie for the review desk, and a matching token that protects forms from another site submitting them.
How we handle what you share
- We keep listing and contact details so a person can read them and, when a listing is approved, show what you agreed to publish.
- We do not take card numbers. Paid checkout is not open.
- We do not run an advertising tracker or a third-party analytics tool.
- This draft’s intention is that we do not sell listing information. A lawyer has not yet signed off on that sentence.
What you send is saved in the database the company controls, where a person can read it. Outgoing mail stays off until we turn that setting on, so a saved form waits here rather than leaving as an email.
How long we keep information
Public listings stay while they are published. If you ask us to remove one, we take it down and delete that row within 30 days. Pending listings, rejected listings, contact messages, and Match notes are kept for 24 months, then deleted. The email log is kept for 90 days. A lawyer’s review may change these periods. Until then, this is the rule this draft follows.
You can email hello@mothersearch.org and ask us to correct or remove a listing or a message you sent.
The web server
The server that hosts the site may keep short connection logs, as servers usually do. This application does not copy your IP address into the listing or contact tables.
Children
The directory is for businesses. It is not directed at children.
