Our story
Why motherhood is no longer a career pause.
Karolyn Vaughan founded MotherSearch. She is co-owner and CEO of Innovative Electrical Services (IES), Inc., a family-run electrical contractor in California. Before she led that company, she was a teacher. She is a mother, and the people who know her describe her as someone who helps a lot of people.
She built MotherSearch so mothers who run businesses are easier to find, hire, and support. The women in this directory are independent owners. Customers come here to choose their work. The first public name is her own company, a founding listing in Auburn, and the next names will be real ones too, each read by a person before they appear.
Support isn’t just a gesture. It’s a strategy.
Made with purpose. Built to empower.
